Story behind the song
Marina's Notes: I usually write songs starting with the melody.. But that day I was sitting by my piano and started playing to a built-in drum loop. It was so cool because I'd never done this before. Within an hour I was completely done with the music and called Nick to see if he'd like to help me work on the lyrics. I had a few ideas, but originally we called this song "Breaking My Dream". About 3 or 4 days later we changed it to "killing". This song is about being hurt and feeling alone but having to pretend you're OK because you are too proud to let your feelings show. As always, based on a true story.

l am sending a friend on facebook a song of yours Guardian Angel & l am here trying to see if l can get the direct link somehow..l am in disbelief of not having commented on this song ...again in such a hurry to put it on my stations ..Please forgive me Marina & Jack ..These 2 songs are 2 of my very very favorites, and l have them both on several stations for quite some time now.
