synth strings, remixed fusion of sound, sacrificing of an earlier song resulting in a Christmas Carol of sorts to a world which has managed to displace 117.3 million persons since 2003...
synths strings displaced persons
some people get by with a little understanding, some people get by with a whole lot more..
think back to when Jim Steinman started writing songs for Meatloaf and how he'd go on to be one of the best producers in the business (creating this classic with TSOM) and how the world seemed less complicated and more focussed on serious issues as opposed to Tik Tok or Instagram and if we don't think we've lost something we're crazy...but if we think it's coming back anytime soon then we are complete fools. Michael Keaton in a scene from 'Birdman' is here due to his brilliant acting abilities as well as the late great John Belushi...dig Mike & John, supreme talents for sure! can you still recall in the juke box hall when the music played and the world spun round to a brand new sound in those far off days.. in their blue suede shoes they would scream and shout as they sang the blues, let it all hang out.. rock and roll...

Story behind the song
As of 2024, there are approximately 117 million individuals forcibly displaced worldwide due to various conflicts dating back to the start of the Iraq in 2003. The changing face of Europe is testament to this and the impact and ramifications are being felt now and will continue to do so for generations to come. The instability of the world throughout the 21st century is causing a reboot of sorts for it (and the EU in particular) with a lot of jockeying and posturing and as a result the humble human soul who has lost everything and now wanders the continent as a displaced person due to wars and conflicts they neither wanted nor sought is a legacy of the decisions made and taken a quarter of a century ago... We're not in entirely in uncharted waters as we've most definitely been here before but not with this volume of people, level of destruction or divided opinion...this musical piece has been created to bring focus to a very troubling issue at a time when peace and goodwill are supposed to be among us...God help us...
Lyrics
they couldn't tell what was right or wrong or what was weak or strong ...know what was weak or strong...without... without... don't you know that the times were tough without... ...now you know no, no don't you that the times were tough ...without...don't you know that the times were tough now you know... now you know that I just can't wait, just can't wait now you know... ...without now you know...
