Moody power ballad with lyrics that cut deep, and force some self reflection on behalf of the listener.
Solo artist.. diverse influences...eclectic mix...rock...alternative grooves...and guitar rock.
Edgy alternative rock music, packaged for the masses. The music covers a wide range of emotions and genres, created by me for me. Many of my independent works have become therapuetic in many ways. My music is the highway to my soul!
Story behind the song
Cyclical nature of bad relationships. People find themselves stuck in a rut, and always finding themselves falling into a bad relationship, whether that be abusive, destructive, or tiresome. This song is based on one person's perspective of being in a bad relationship, knowing it, and doing nothing about it. "Been here before, I'll be here again" Lyrically, I was looking to capture that desperate feeling of needing someone for the wrong reasons. Hanging onto the baggage when it's bound to end.
Lyrics
Living a lie on lonely street aint always is what it always was, baby.
Do you know what I mean?
Holdin you, I held everything.
All I want, all I need, mama. Do you feel what I feel? Knowing you, I've known everything. All you are, and all I see, baby. Does this feel right to you?
I hear the voices in my head.
I hear the words that you said.
You made a promise that you can't keep. Baby you'll see. Baby you'll see!
I know, 20 ways to force this divide. I know the game. I've been here before, I'll be here again. I know, there's nothing more that you can say. I know the road, the road will take me back- home.
You're telling me to trust myself, holdin me when no one else did. Does this feel strange to you? I took the time to realize you and I weep inside, baby. Can you see what I see? Feeling you, feeling me. Holding on like we're dyin baby.
