A powerful blend of slow melody and painful lyrics. A song about personal loss and suffering.
Solo artist.. diverse influences...eclectic mix...rock...alternative grooves...and guitar rock.
Edgy alternative rock music, packaged for the masses. The music covers a wide range of emotions and genres, created by me for me. Many of my independent works have become therapuetic in many ways. My music is the highway to my soul!
Story behind the song
Let 'em know your name, Let 'em know - you're on your way to coming back, ohh Riverman. Seeing you, as you saw yourself, your innocence- that's all lost in my heart. Never saying goodbye. I know now, what I didn't know then. Riverman, can you hear me? Can you taste the tears that fell with you? I seeing you, passing your time away. Turning wishes to dreams, to reality. I know, nothing's what it seems. You can't undo the knot you've tied. Ohh, Riverman. Staring at you watching me. You could see, all I am. Let the time pass us by, and you will see. It makes no difference now, what we are. Riverman, can you hear me? Can you taste the tears that fell with you. I'm seeing you, passing your time away. Turning wishes to dreams, to reality. I know nothing's what it seems. You can't undo the knot you tied! Ohh, Riverman. Let 'em know your name, Let 'em know you're on your way to coming back. OH Riverman.
Lyrics
This song was written because of the loss of my grandfather several years ago. He respectfully plays the role of "Riverman" in this song. As soon as I had heard the news of his unexpected passing, I ran to my room and turned over to an old folk guitar that I had, and this song came out in minutes. Music has always been very therapeutic for me in many ways. This song in particular, got me through some very dark days.
