Story behind the song
This heavily features the fantastic Vox V251 Organ Guitar - all the synth and organ tones were made using this beast and boy was it fun doing it! It's nearly impossible to play but I'm so pleased with the results. My son popped my bubble by saying "what's that really crappy synth sound in there Dad?". I was so upset I made him buy his own pint. The song itself is about our beloved dog Angus, who contracted a really bad infection and had to have some serious surgery which we weren't sure he'd survive. He spent a week in a referral centre but made a full recovery and is still sprightly and living his best life 3 years later. This was written the day we got him back - the "nine" just refers to the fact that it's in 9/4 - just the way the lyric came out.

Don’t know about “ crappy synth sound “ I thought it sounded awesome ! Kids eh ? What do they know about real music?! lol Great track again as per ! Dogs eh ? They can break your heart but enrich your life with their loyalty and true friendship. Great subject brilliantly performed! We have two yorkies Billy no mates ( he was the last pup left in the litter ) so we took him with the female we had already picked Millie sprinkles ( our daughter named her !) Billy and Millie a two for one deal ! Your song will resonate with all dog lovers like it did with me . we almost lost her 2 years ago when she got poisoned so I know your pain . Nice one stevie ! Very interesting time signature !
