A 'live' favourite from the 'British Blues Boom', of the 1960s. Another very simple 'Live in the Studio' style recording.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
I've known this song for a long time but never got round to recording a version of it until now. I purposely didn't go through it more than a couple of times beforehand so it would be a 'seat of the pants' one-off recording...it's all in there...a few mistakes and a little bit of inconsistent timing in places etc. It is what it is..."plug in, press record, play...then press stop".
Lyrics
J B Lenoir (1963) there aren't many lyrics...so just enjoy it.

Yet again you’ve captured that 60s R&B sound ! Takes me back to when I started playing and trying to copy songs from a reel to reel Grundig tape player ! Great guitar tone and vocals !

Great guitar sounds as usual. You just... breathe... them. Nevermind how. You do it. That's my view of it. And you do it well.

You are indeed a Guitar Wizard. Odd bit of song... "Tell you daughter she had better love me or I'm going to whack her one proper, straight away no more chit chat about it"... if I were that girl, I'd be fixing to beat him to the punch I would. Better still, if I were the 'daughter's' Father... I might have to make moves I won't discuss, best to establish an alibi. But, I trifle on composition details... Well Done Record. John always hated "Run For Your Life"... exposed him a bit too much it did.

Fantastic job! You're definitely a one-man blues band! Now THIS is how to play guitar. Excellent vocals too. A lot of fun - just how it should be. Really enjoyed it!

Oh boy, I had such fun pretending to be in a Blues Band. "What do you mean, pretending"? I am in a Blues band.(:-)
