A song about auto racing in the South with friends. The song is for Everett Kendrick who led a team of misfits to unlikely victories but more importantly a lot of great fun, discovery and camaraderie. Rest in peace our friend Everett.

New Song and Video "Listen to the Girl" a lesson for younger people. The best way to get to know someone is FACE to FACE. The Human Way.
The Stray Dawgs are from Plantation, Florida. Lew Dawg Cloninger is the founding member and plays guitars and sings (many people refer to it as hollering). Founding member Steve Sallaz plays bass, sings and also does most of the mixing and mastering of our recordings. He also plays a variety of percussion instruments. We have many other musician friends that help us out at live shows as well as recording. Huge thanks go out to Susan Ivory Blue who has played piano and organ on many of our recordings and gigs. Also special thanks to Lew Knapper for his help with Texas blues harp on many of our songs.

Story behind the song
I was lucky enough to drive race cars for Everett Kendrick for four seasons. He was a great, kind, funny, generous and intelligent (if a little crude at times) man. He was always able to make something out of nothing and he drew people to his team that were like minded. We did more with nothing than anybody I have ever seen before or since. To all my mates at PFD Racing.
