Conceived c1998. This is Take 2 Mix 1. Recorded c1998 Yamaha PSR-85 & Sony DTC-700
Getting myself tangled up with KITE STRING.....
.....while taking a flying KICK at the proverbial FOOTBALL (!!) :-).....
......with an improvised Jazz-Bossa Nova styled cover of the "Peanuts" theme.
Recorded direct to DAT & built on my Keyboard pre-set Bossa Nova accompaniment style, to which I first added on a melody bank, the distinctive low note opening piano hook.
Then whilst I make the auto chord changes on the left hand keys, we play the upper melody on the right side keys, using the keyboards "Auto Harmony" function, & subsequently venturing off into some semi-haphazard soloing segments.
Not really a complete cover, as I'm just going over & over on the main 2 chord vamp.
Didn't want to attempt to do the bridge & the breakdown section!!
Also do some self-mocking voice overs towards the beginning, where I liken it to being a band called "Jimmy & the Coconuts" performing it in "The Mambo Room"!! (LOL!)
Switch over to a "Vox" organ sound for the upper keys about half way thru until the end.
This is an edited down mix, the original running time being apx. 14 minutes, & filled with quite a few MISTAKES!
(several times hitting the wrong chord change, & one instance where I accidentally dropped out the accompaniment instrumentation!!)
