it's been so long since i heard any of my licorice pizza's it was analog baby you just don't understand gerard turn table olympic cartridge kenwood amp 14 inch bass in mahogany boxes they weighed 100 pounds yeah baby! unskizzling the plastic from a brand new licorice pizza carefully placing it on the turntable ever so carefully placing the needle to groove yeah baby! the sound fills the room the walls begin to shake in time with the music you sit and read the liner notes about the tasty new black disk spinning around on the record player! ah yeah music was food for mind and ears. the wrinkles on the drapes become barber poles spinning into different pictures of things you can't quite recognize. perhaps the secrets of life itself if only they would stop long enough to see what they mean. the room becomes it's own world apart from what is going on outside out on the street. you close the curtains so they can't see in and ruin it. the music stops like a cold slap in the face reality returns you realize that twenty minutes have passed and it's time to turn the licorice pizza over and play side two.
