Yet another songwriter-guitarist-singer. In that order. Though I earn my living mostly playing bass.
I play bass with various bands in many genres, and also perform at mainly acoustic-style venues as a solo songwriter-guitarist-singer (in that order)

Story behind the song
"My love and I walked in the woods" on a lovely day in spring - and our delight in nature inspired this romantic song. The accompaniment does sound rather bleak compared with how it sounded in my head, though the chords are just the same. Maybe it's because I am so sad at the loss of that very special beloved person. But I have these happy memories!
Lyrics
In the Woods My love and I walked in the woods. Our hands entwined, we strolled at will, and when I caught his eye, he held my gaze. The trees stood still. His lips brushed mine, like butterflies alighting on some flower rare, then tasting for the nectar sweet that lies in secret there. Then sunlight dappled on our skin, as in each others' arms we lay. It could have been a million years ago or yesterday. With silver notes the woodland rang, a robin sang somewhere on high. On last year's leaves we melted into one, my love and I.
