Story behind the song
Opening Composition Produced by Quality (John Bartholomew) Additional scratches and blend mix by Mike FuQ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The standard Top Flight composition book that's the black and white design. Same style book that Nas holds on the back cover of his "The Lost Tapes" album. It started as all songs, lyrics, ideas, samples, etc. for an album titled "21...Ways To Flow", hence the opening about the psychological definition of 'flow'. I thought it would be a nice introduction to just kick the rhymes that started it all, and would eventually transcend into 'Fresh, Understanding, Quality'. My first verse was 'The Jean Grae Inspiration'. It was what I thought up after listening to her and loving her use of vocabulary and thought process. My next verse, stemmed from the Jay-Z's VH1 Storytellers concert fpr his album "American Gangster" which is why I reference "Blue Magic".
