Gospel/Christian Bible-based songs
Music has always been a special joy to me. While still a child I enjoyed classical guitar and piano lessons. While growing up I had opportunity to play for our church youth group. More recently I have begun to write songs. They vary widely in style and are not confined to any one genre. My goal is to please the One who is the song-giver; to honour Him in all I write and play. It is my sincere desire that the Lord uses the music I write to draw people closer to Himself. Wherever you are at in relationship to God, may this music touch your heart and be a blessing to you.

Lyrics
God Will Deliver Based on Exodus 3 CCLI Song No. 4579481 Key: Am, Bm & B Verse 1 Israel was a slave in Egypt For four hundred years. God saw their affliction and the burdens they carried Their cries reached His ear. God said, “I will go down and deliver them; For they are my own. I will go down and deliver them; I will not leave them alone.” Verse 2 God spoke to Moses and sent him to Pharoah, The ruler of the land. God was with Moses who did signs and wonders With the staff in his hand. God said, “Let my people go, For they belong to me. If you do not listen, My wrath you will see.” Verse 3 Life grew harder, Israel cried in distress They did not understand That even Pharoah’s hardness of heart God would use for good in His plan. God saved His people from all of their troubles; He did not leave them alone. He led them safely to the land He had promised For God takes care of His own. Verse 4 God said to me, “I see your affliction And I hear your cries. I know your struggles, and I know you are hurting Though you don’t understand why. I will deliver you, For you are My own. I will deliver you; I will not leave you alone.” Ending: God will deliver me, for I am His own. God will deliver me; He will not leave me alone. Repeat ending. INDNJC ©2005 Connie R. Smith
