Story behind the song
Danna This song is about long distance collaborations, and my favorite web site that offers that possibility. It is a tribute to music, friendship, Soundclick and to one of the most incredible voices this songwriter ever heard. The idea came to me months ago, I love Hayley’s vocals, as many do. I wanted so much to sing a song with her. I asked her to join me in the song and was thrilled when she said she would love to. Thank you Shannon for playing guitar, recording, mixing and making us sound so nice! Donna Devine for help through the lyrical blockades. Soundclick and our musical family for caring, and Hayley, you show the angels how to sing. Danna (ukulelelady) Hayley I have always been a huge fan of danna's music so I was thrilled and honoured when she asked me to colaborate with her. what makes it even more wonderful is that the song "my friend across the sea" is so very special and personal for us both. I am truly flattered and touch that such a gifted writer would complement my music in such an amazing way through these beautiful words and melody, and that I have been able to share in this and return the complement! I mean every word in this song, it says it all! Danna, I will always treasure this precious gift! thank you for sharing it with me and for your kindness and encouragement, you are an inspiration "my friend across the sea"! I would like to add my thanks to Shannon, for such a great job with the recording, mixing and editing, and also to Donna for helping out with the lyrics.

I just noticed you had Tammy Wynette listed I knew I peg ed the similarity, another wonderful song and again your sound brings me way back.I am a direct relative to Bob Wills thats way, Way back when he was with the Texas Playboy's (on my mom's side her maiden name is Will's) Great stuff I love what I am hearing.
