Here is a little about me.
My name is Hayley Oliver, and I am an Independent Country Music Vocalist in the UK. I began singing at a very early age, As a child I always enjoyed taking part in music and drama activities at school. When I was eleven years old I was asked to record a single "Saintt of the Orphans", that was such a wonderful experience, the first time I had worked in a recording studio. The record had some airplay on national radio and I appeared on the Saturday morning breakfast shows "The Wide awake club", and "going live", and the BBC evening news program London plus".
Through my Teens I enjoyed working on further recording projects and performing at various festivals and theatres. I took a break from recording while I studied business at college and university. In 2000, I began entering talent competitions and performing in clubs and theatres in and around London. in 2002 I one a competition hosted by British comedian Joe Pasquale and this led to further recording projects with folk singer and comedian Richard Digance. I also enjoyed working with Mike Ozman at the London Palladium the following year.
Currently I am working on my own recording projects. In January of 2006 I released my first self-produced album "two Hearts". This includes some of my favourite classic country songs and an original song, the title track, "Two Hearts Dancing as one" written by British country music writers Sue Bennett and Lorna Flowers. This was a really exciting project for me, it was the first time I had produced and promoted my own CD, it was a lot of fun to do, and I have learned so much from it.
Shortly after completing "two Hearts" I was inspired to record a collection of original songs, and so began searching for material for my second Album "I can Still Dream" which I released this year. Again, it has been an amazing journey and a great learning process for me, I have been extremely fortunate with the outstanding quality of material and musical production, and the level of support and encouragement which made it all possible.
Music has always lived in my heart and played such an important part in my life, and my greatest ambition is to be able to reach others through my music. Even if just one person out of a crowd of people tells me that a particular song meant something too them and touch their heart in some way, that makes it worth while for me, and I know that I am achieving what I want most to achieve.
My dream, of course, is to someday visit Nashville, to perform or record there would be truly wonderful! My main goal is to continue doing what I love to do, just keep on singing and sharing my music with others in the hope that they get as much pleasure from it as I do.
Yes I do, I play a number of clubs and theatres across the UK and I love it.
I have so many! But my main influences are, Reba Mcentire, Trisha Yearwood, Dolly Parton, Tammy wynette, Lorrie Morgan, just to name a few.
Guitar and digital recording computer programs.
