we call this our Depeche Mode track - the guys from DM inspired this for sure as we're both fans! We loved the early 80's with bands like Eurythmics, PSB's, Japan, Heaven 17, Human League, New Order, Spandau, Yazoo (Yaz in the US) and Trevor Horn.

think back to when the Monkees were riding high in the charts with such great songs as 'Daydream Believer' and 'Last Train to Clarksville' and how the world seemed less complicated and more focussed on serious issues as opposed to Tik Tok or Instagram and if we don't think we've lost something we're crazy...but if we think it's coming back anytime soon then we are complete fools...ok, Christmas salutations from myself, Jill, Louie the wonder dog and cha-cha the kitty kat, everyone else has left us now, lol - empty nesters...haha! can you still recall in the juke box hall when the music played and the world spun round to a brand new sound in those far off days.. in their blue suede shoes they would scream and shout as they sang the blues, let it all hang out.. rock and roll...

Story behind the song
what can we say, we lucked out being children of the 70's and getting all that brilliant music entering into the 80's (mid teens) and being part of that whole synthesizer/new romantic (and/or wave) explosion - so essentially we were spoilt! The early 80's synth scene of which Depeche Mode were formed was such a creative time with production/mixing skills entering a completely new level of sophistication (salute also goes to Vince Clarke from his early days with DM and his pioneering work with Yazoo and Alf Moyet) - we went for that big synth sound on this track for sure! Love you Alf!

This is a great track, I can hear the Depeche Mode influence. A perfect radio hit, gets into your head right away, very catchy without being contrived. Excellent on every level!
