When The Night Comes

we wanted to give this an Andrew Eldritch/Bowie feel complete with a haunting goth vibe - essentially this is Goth Rock (also, borrowing from Rog's KAOS announcer intro)
rock john gary mark
some people get by with a little understanding, some people get by with a whole lot more..
think back to when Gary Numan wrote and recorded 'Cars' in 1979 and if we don't think we've lost something we're crazy...but if we think it's coming back anytime soon then we are complete fools... can you still recall in the juke box hall when the music played and the world spun round to a brand new sound in those far off days.. in their blue suede shoes they would scream and shout as they sang the blues, let it all hang out.. rock and roll..

Story behind the song
I told John (Matteson) his slide guitar reminded me of Robert Fripp from the 'Berlin/Heroes' period - so I used samples I had of John's previous work with a deliberate intent to 'Fripp' the veritable out of this, lol! His guitar gives a menacing vibe, which becomes a feature throughout the song with Mark and Gary also here.
Lyrics
When the night comes Will you still be here with me? And when the night comes Will you still think much of me? Much of me Cause I know you baby I know you're super bad You drive 'em crazy Waitin' round for the next best fad Somethin' close to maybe I need to let you know Think they want you baby Even if its just for show And when the sky falls Does that ever set you free? Set you free...like me? Here it comes, here comes the night Here it comes, here comes the night Cause when the flag flies There won't be much to see Cause when the flag flies It's over for you and me Cause I know you baby Cause I know you baby

Wow, this is a real 'tour-de-force', of moody Goth guitars and Bowie styled vocals. The guitar tone and the solo...wow. This is absolutely awesome ... off the scale sound and production. Fantastic.

Wow! What a fantastic song - what a pro sound! You really get that 90s goth / doom thing down. Cult. Paradise Lost. Sisters of Mercy. Excellent vocal, awesome bass sound, guitars are unreal - GREAT solo, and the whole tune is exceptionally well written and produced. Loved it!
