Never a more poignant time for this track with the situation out in the Gulf. Bob Dylan has been given a lot of accolades for his writing...but I think your songs are just as powerful and deserve as much recognition. As always, this is a song that makes us stop and think and one that will certainly be spinning around in my head for days.

Dear Roger - I know I am far from home now but this tragic event still hits hard - your lyrics bring that out so well. Thank you for sharing this song! Best, Vyolette

Roger, I agree with pinecat's comments. Richie Havens one of my favorite poets of the 60's & 70's. Your live sound has that essence about it that moves and stirs the soul and makes you think. Continue to love your material. Cheers...Al

Hi Roger, I really like this. Good melody and really like the lyrics. This is a tragedy the oil running wild through the gulf. You know it is terrible good men lost their lives and it will take years to recover from this. Which is why I say Drill Baby Drill in Anwr Alaska. The environmental whackos might think twice now about pushing people off shore and drilling miles down into the sea. Much safer on land. But I fear they will instead use this tragedy as an excuse for the government to put big oil out of business and use this as a spring board for their Cap and Trade communist agenda. Too bad Obama did not mean it when he said lets start building nuclear plants. It is very clean safe energy. Roger you always invoke thought from the listener and that is a great talent for a songwriter. (You probably dont like the thoughts you invoke in me. LOL!) Anyway keep them coming you are a musical reporter of our times. P.S. It was Gerry and the Pacemakers. T

Great song!! You do these protest songs justice. Such a Mortal Sin upon our Earth Mother!! We treat our earth like its disposable. Woe is us!

Excellent, well written lyrics. Your raspy Rock-styled vocal really can express in song Roger. I hope that hole gets plugged soon... Great performance!
