Born in Youngstown, Ohio. A product of a twice broken home, he adapted to music at the young age of nine. Starting out playing by ear on a 24 key keyboard, he found his niche. Always drawn to writing he developed his own sense of authorship. A child of the state of Ohio til the age of 18, Leon (5Fold) Bates recorded his first song at the age of 14. After recieving more than enough feedback that this was what he was called to do, he chose to keep his Even Odds movement going. In various group and foster homes since the age of 5, he relied on himself to make his dream a reality. With listeners sensing the passion he has for the music he puts out, his followers are loyal to his real-life style and wordplay. Moving to Columbus at the age of 12 he developed a grind or die sense of mind. Working with various artist ranging from...Sincere The Great, Hood, A-Watts Wilson, Ace and Lil Dirty. Producers ranging from the well known DJ Kid Magic, Tightanium Beatz, All Ears Productions and B-Nice. All of which knowing the depth of the artist known as 5Fold, had no problem collaborating with him. Never letting his fans down by giving up or in, he stays steadfast on his mission to Even the Odds. Get used to seeing and hearing this guy. He is here to stay.
