Chantel Hampton, born and raised in the inner city of Boston, Massachusetts to a hidden legacy of talented musicians. Fearlessly, at age of 7 she began composing and performing music at school talent shows and local church events and at 9, Ms. Hampton became the youngest member of 50-voice youth choir, allowing her to travel throughout America & Europe performing before thousands. In High school, she became a two-time winner of the Berklee College of Music National Songwriting Competition and a recipient of a full tuition scholarship to Berklee College of Music. As an ambassador for Berklee, Ms. Hampton shared the stage with greats such as Sheila E. and Anita Baker etc, and as an artist she has written, arranged and performed music for “Battle Cry” & “Mega Fest,” in front of over 50,000 youth. This young lady has a heart for this talented generation and through her own experiences, has something to share with the world. Her love, her passion and her joy are dangerously “Contagious”!
Chantel Hampton has just released her debut album ‘Contagious.’ This diverse arrangement of infectious sounds and personally penned lyrics stems from Chantel’s deep desire to equip and empower young people to not just chase their dreams but to LIVE them. Contagious pulls from Chantel’s diverse musical background of R&B, pop and gospel to bring a project that captivates the hearts of each person who hears and inspire her generation.
