Country Music’s next BIG TICKET, Rickey is known as ‘The Man behind the Shades’. He hails from the Rochester, New York area where he has been performing live on stage since 1999. Country Music is ‘alive and well in the North’ thanks to Rickey Lee who’s recordings have been known to make a grown man cry and the ladies fall in love. Adored by thousands, this rising Country Star has many influences in music. As the lead vocalist for the local band,Blackjack, he gained lots of notoriety as the opening act for several major entertainers. In December ’07, Rickey was voted, ‘Favorite Male Vocalist’ for ‘New Country Star’. He signed with Redtail Records & Recordings in July ‘08 and has teamed up with Greg Bulger (company President & head of management) to create a true American masterpiece entitled,“Time for Change”. This project describes the highs and lows in the lives of hardworking Americans, regardless of race, creed, color, or religion. It captures the essence of what America is all about which is apparent in the first song selected to launch his solo career as a serious musician. The song entitled, “What I Love About America” is a beautiful, heart-felt piece sung by a man who truly believes in American values and the American Dream. This ‘Anthem’ is currently playing on many radio stations worldwide! Rickey Lee Watson is poised and ready to launch ‘The Man behind the Shades’ tour in 2011 !
