For those in the need of some 'journalistic' Yang for the everyday Yin, I present.... THE GRUDGE RETORT

I've a few Christmas songs I've done the last few years here - up top, over on the music page. If you want your senses about Christmas upset a wee bit. I had fun creating them anyway. Enjoy.

DEC 2010 Update: Wow.. did we almost make it through another year? Can't wait for the next one, bring it on. Make sure to spread lots of love and thoughtful action (instead of thoughtless re-action) this holiday season.. you know it always makes you feel good when you do, and man o man can we use more feeling good these days. So go for it and be the best you that the law will allow (in at least 49 states). Over here in the states, don't let the constant drumbeat of politics and 24/7 news on demand wear you down. This is a great, diverse and inclusive country and our best days are yet to come. Some people (like certain talk show hosts) are scare mongers, but I wont hold it against them because I honestly believe they are as scared of change as they say they are. And the times they are a changing. Change never came easy or cheap, but it is always inevitable, and to fight it is fruitless. Take who you are and what you stand for and dive relentlessly into the future (own it.. it's yours) , because I promise the past is gone and never coming back no matter how loud some demand they wish it so. And remember, generations before us had anxieties too, and we are in much better shape to withstand the season of uncertainty and discontent better than we ever have been. So hang tough and spread the love and don't listen to the nay sayers. Live life, love life then get the hell out of the darn gig doing as little damage, and maybe even more good, than when you first came into it. Peace and love~! ACTION I am totally honored to be 2010's recipient of the Steve Gilmore, Soundclick 2009 Artist of the year review. It came as quite a shock and I shant recover for at least a... year. Looking at the dates I see it is now July of 2010 and I wrote the original statement Nov 16th, 2008. I'd sure like to take it down sometimes in the future. In the meantime......... From Nov 8th, 2008 Remember, it is a tough row out there for so many people this year. We are all in this together, lets do our best to not leave anyone behind. TImes are changing, we are losing jobs that will never come back, these are uncertain times at best. Hang tough. Love one another.. Peace~!
