A true country girl who writes real, honest country music!
From the time Heather Ireland was three years old, music has been a burning passion for her. From her early years of standing on restaurant table tops belting out Loretta Lynn's "Coal Miner Daughter" with the jukebox to fronting her own band at the age of 24 (Poplar Road), her ability to connect with an audience is undeniable. Quiet, modest, and seemingly shy when carrying on a one-on-one conversation, Heather transforms into a confident ball of fire fueled by passion and determination when she steps foot on stage, proving that the stage is where she feels most at home.
Heather began writing songs at the age of 12 and taught herself to play guitar at 14 years old. While playing with her first band, Heather Ireland & Poplar Road, she was a nominated two years in a row for Georgia's Top Female Country Artist. Her compassion for helping veterans led her and her band to do a lot of volunteer work for the Patriot Guard out of Tallahassee, FL.
Currently, Heather Ireland is working with local musicians, Terrell Stone (aka "T") and Charlie Hiles (aka Chuck), on an acoustic trio, Heather Ireland & Poplar Road- Unplugged. This outfit brings tight harmonies, various instrumentation, and a show that will leave you begging for just one more song. Their setlist ranges from country to rock to blues and everything in between. They plan to start booking shows June 1st, 2018.
Heather Ireland truly is the whole enchilada. Talented, down-to-earth, and country as a turnip green, this girl always delivers. Whether she's playing to a small bar crowd or an entire stadium, when she hits the stage, you will get a show and your money's worth, every single time.

New Songs & Updates!!!
Aug 2, 2018
Well hello everyone! It's been a LONG time, apparently, since I've posted anything here on SoundClick or posted any new music. A lot has happened over the last few years during my absence and I just wanted to update you guys. Yes, I have been on a roughly 6-year hiatus from music. My band, Poplar Road, disbanded completely in 2011/2012 and I joined another band, Stealing Dixie, for a short while before deciding I needed a break. Fast forward to 2018... I was missing music tremendously. I missed the stage...I missed performing...I missed writing...I missed YOU ALL! I had written a few songs over the course of those years and decided the best place to start was new music. I contacted local studio owner and producer, Gary DiBenedetto of Studio D, and went right to work. We produced two of my originals, "Rock Bottom" and "Mine" at the end of April 2018 and released the singles at the end of May 2018. In addition to that, I got back in contact with two of the original members of Poplar Road and we have resurrected Heather Ireland & Poplar Road as an acoustic trio (for the moment). There has been so much going on and moving in a positive direction. I feel so blessed and thankful to be able to do this again and to have so many people as excited (possibly even MORE excited) than I am about my return to the stage and my new music. I have attached the new songs to this blog post. I would love to hear feedback from you guys. Happy listening! Y'all take care now, ya hear! :D [media] [media]

Hey you guys! Long time no hear, huh? I apologize, but life has just been crazy as most of you can relate. Undoubtedly it has been quite a while. I thought it would be great to drop in and give all of you an update. As of a few months ago, I am now part of an acoustic duo. The other guy in which I play music with is Ronnie Avery, who is also a very talented singer/songwriter/guitarist from here in south Georgia. :) I hope to get into a studio soon to record some new material. I am sure you guys are tired of hearing the same old tunes. I am working hard to get things on the right track musically. I hope life finds each and everyone of you well today and I hope that the Thanksgiving holidays brought smiles to your faces. :) Thanks for everything you do and have done. Your support means everything to me. Take care and God Bless! Love Always, Heather Ireland =D
Sorry Friends!

Wow! I'm still learning how to work this site. Blogging is new to me so bare with me. I am really struggling right now at this point in my life. Everything is falling apart! I don't want to go into detail, but getting my songs into the hands of the right person at this point would get me out of the mess that unfortunately I was unlucky enough to be born into. So, if anyone out there wants to work with me as a songwriter (I'm not interested in singing my material.) or knows someone I could talk to or get in contact with I would greatly appreciate it. Good luck to everyone! All the best! Take care and God Bless! - Heather
