Hey, I'm Alex the sole member of the original solo metal project "War of Karthaus". I came to this project originally in 2006 while playing in the local semi-professional act SeVeR in the hills of central Pennsylvania. Back then this project was called "Death by Fire" and it's purpose was for me to have the ability to write and record songs that the band I was in at the time didn't need/want to use. The songs "A Call To Arms", "The Power Within", "America: The Land of the Free", and "IronClad" are from when I was pulling double duty in Sever and for myself. As time went on I got out of the widely popular "Metalcore" scene and started to just follow my gut. That's when songs "Still Remains", "The Treasons of Humanity", and "The War" were done. I had more time and gained more recording experience in 2007. Over the years I continued to mess around and that's when the midi idea and my cover of Rammstein's "Engel" came into the mix. I did that for one of my German penpals that wanted to hear me sing there favorite song. "Abandoned" came about from on my friends in the U.S. Navy that wrote lyrics during my thrash phase.
In mid-fall of 2008 I asked Jesus Christ to be my savior, my LORD, my friend, and to be a child of God. After being saved I really felt that my songs should be for Christ and so that is what I'm doing now. I have songs that I never did anything with that had no purpose until now! ...AND THE METAL RAGES ON FOR CHRIST!
