Who will be the new voice of our music, what will the messages contain, more of the disdain for women, talking bout hoochies and strippers, I guess those are good professions for making a living but when I grew up these were minimal topics not expressed in every other song and not so prominently broadcast by mass media. Now this mess is all I hear. I am not knocking anyone in particular but dam...............There used to be true messages in our music. Who will take up this mantra and once again evolve the face of hip hop/ rap music....... Artist will always need to use pop culture to be heard, ya know that sex sells......but once you get to the top or get recognized what else do you have to say... Make sure your music speaks to the mind as well as the body and we can reach one and teach one with every song........... what's your message to your music.....is it the one you want your 6 yr old daughter to hear and live by.........think about it sometimes........
