I would like to introduce myself, my name is SWA aka Rock City Bwoy. I am from 1 of the Emeralds of the Sea a.k.a the United States Virgin Islands. I like many forms of music, but my 2 favorites are Hip Hop and Dancehall because they are both uptempo, something that I can dance to and I love most of the messages that they deliver. I am a fan as well as a student of both genres, thereforeI try to mold both styles of music into 1 unique style. I am still trying to perfect my style hoping to get better with different concepts and topics to talk about with each song I write. I am currently under the wing of Eddie L aka The Heavyweight CEO and Speak No Evil who are mentoring me in perfecting my style, they are both phenominal artists. I am a member of The Heavyweight Camp along with Eddie L, Mic Will, Jay Lig, Mo Flo, Quior Boy a.k.a The Senator, Hurricane aka A7ready, Tommy Rage, Wood Grain and, R.E.D. Each of us are from different parts of the US and each of us possess our own unique style of music and delivery. I am willing to collaberate with anybody as long as we can make good quality music to share with the world. Music is not all about money. So get at me if you are a serious artist who likes to put out classic material.

Versatility

Versatility is the key to being a successful artist. I like a club song as much as the next guy or gal but when i wanna ride to a track in the whip i want to ride to a laid back track. I will reference Tupac on this one. Even though he had gangsta tracks, battle raps and club songs. He still had inspirational tracks like Keep your head up, Dear Momma, and Brenda's got a baby. Thats how I like to be. If you listen to each of my tracks you can see that I have various subjects to talk about. I'm not being arrogant, I'm just stating a fact. I can't listen to an artist who just talks about bling bling, money, fancy cars, clothes, selling drugs and being hard in the hood when there are other issues in the world that need to be issued to the people. Make that track that gets your soul mate or your special friend with benefits in the mood to make love. You know that Marvin Gaye, Jagge Edge or that Bob Marley track. I'm sure gangstas are revolutionaries every now and then. Talk about the government trying to shut down the mixtape game, the war, whats going on in the world stuff like that. But at the same time don't stop making the music that make people have a good time.
What does it take to be a Legendary Artist?

What does it take to be a Legendary Artist? Is it the beats you pick to record on? Do all of you albums have to go platinum? Do you have to have those lyrics that you will forever remember? Do you always have to have the Top Ten songs on 106 & Park and TRL? Will you have to be a one hit wonder? Do you have to go platinum on ring tones? Do you have to have a dance with your song? Do you have to get a felony? Do you have to use drugs? Is it necessary for you to die for you to be a legend? Must you have longevity? Must you have money, expensive clothes and fancy cars to be a legend? Must you have a trendy swagger? Must you prove how hard you are? I would like to know your answers and opinions to these questions bgecause I would think we all would want to be Legendary Artists one day.
