The melody certainly has an Irish lilt. And one certainly overs a sense of loneliness from the lyrics.

Love all the " 'ow's yer farva " East End Rhyming Slang - as you say, never completed. I was born in Acton London W3 meself, grew up familiar with all them expressions - “Jacksons” is a goodie from yourself. The keyboard and guitar solos were pretty nifty - 11/10.
