Picture for song 'Beautiful Jesus' by artist 'Kenny Yeager'

Beautiful Jesus Beautiful Jesus

This is a reimagining of a song written by my buddy Ben L. I took it in a direction vaguely akin to Coldplay meets David Crowder.

The March of Day The March of Day

The second movement in The Battalion. This song is written for piano and strings.

The March of Dawn The March of Dawn

The first phase of a four movement work I am calling 'The Battalion.' Don't let the term 'march' fool you; this is a symphonic piece.

A Mine So Deep (Nocturne no. 1 in F minor) A Mine So Deep (Nocturne no. 1 in F minor)

A fairly simple and short piece. Three instruments (piano, strings, and woodwind) come together to present a winding tale.

Fall of Elven Snow Fall of Elven Snow

This was my first complete orchestrated piece. It still remains one of my most polished songs.

Symphonic

I've been here, there, and all over. My musical tastes and interests are just as diverse. Some day, I'm going to have to split my band account into two (or more accounts) since I'm not very good at maintaining a particularly consistent sound. One moment, I'm working on a full symphony. The next moment, I'm writing an acoustic pop song. Then I'm off writing some fusion of funk, metal, and techno. Then I'm writing... you get the point. But, for now, enjoy the music that is here in all its diversity. If you like what you hear, please make a purchase to show your support and help fuel my recording and performance gear fund. There's always new music in the works!a And I'll point out that I'm always open to the possibility of being contracted for composition. If you have a media project that you think could benefit from my musical abilities, then send me a message, and we will see what kind of deal we could work.
Band/artist history
I've done things before under the name of Overlooked Identity. That music will be largely left in the past, though. It's time for an evolution in my styling.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Aside from weekend church bands, I have not played many live shows. I did, however, perform "Can't Feel You" solo in front of 300 or so people. I love live performance, and I'm looking forward to a continental tour next summer, but songwriting itself has always been my most passionate aspect of being a musician.
Your musical influences
Emery, John Mayer, and a host of pop bands capable of churning out melodies that get stuck in my head for days are my biggest influences for my acoustic/rock pieces and in primary melody writing as a whole. Mozart, Wagner, Uematsu, and a variety of other composers influence me more than anything else in matters of writing dynamic music with interaction among its parts.
What equipment do you use?
GarageBand is what most everything I do is made in. Exciting, yeah? I'm now rocking a cheap M-Audio USB keyboard, but I tend to write a lot of the music by hand. I'm presently using a Logitech USB microphone (the one that came from Rock Band, comically enough) to capture real audio. I play a Mitchell branded acoustic guitar. My acoustic guitar rig is made up of a PRS SE Custom, Vox AC15CC, EHX Small Stone, and Line6 Echo Park.
