Hi,I’m JpTyler,
I’ve been playing guitar since 1967.
I grew up in Tampa Florida, Graduated Hillsborough High School in 1973.
Joined my first band,The “Matris Bros Band” in 1976.Then realized I had to tighten up my playing.
I joined “Shotgun” in 1978,and played with them for 8 months,then in ‘79 my drummer and I formed “Back Stage Smoke” We were playing the” North Nebraska Strip” in Tampa (where the Southern Rock Clubs were) and were pretty successful.
In 2000 I started recording original music, and My Album was released in the summer of 2003.
I added some tracks to it,and re titled it “Muscle Guitar”
The Album was released on March 8,2011.
My new band “Top Dead Center” is recording 8 new original songs @ “The Ozark Mountain Sound Shack”
The new album will be released in later this year.
Your musical influences
I studied Classical music at USF,But I love Southern Rock & Blues
What equipment do you use?
Right now I'm Using a Mackie 1604 VLZ Pro (+4 balance system), recorded on ADAT XT-20 (tape version) Lexicon reverb, still using the good ole 3630 compressor.
The sound is great!

I listened to "Tears for a Ranger" about 20 times. That's a great song. I also loved "Muscle Guitar.You're a really good guitarist and how did you get the bubbles on "The Bubble Blues" ? It just made me feel good.
