Rarely, in any profession, do you find someone resilient enough to remain a master of his craft for over a decade -- evolving with the times yet remaining true to his roots. J.Peso, born and raised in Queens, New York, has earned a doctorate in street life and shares his gripping life experiences through his dynamic music. From age thirteen, J.Peso has used a poetic form to release his thoughts through lurid, raw, and real lyrics; through his unique prose and clever metaphors, he reveals the stories and lessons of his life on the streets. Survival was always a necessity for J.Peso and he had to rise above situations in which all odds were against him. Regardless, he has stayed dedicated to his music, consistently writing lyrics that document his restless life.

As a result, he became well connected with people in the music industry and at the age of eighteen, hooked up with one of the most prestigious rap crews in history Ruff Ryders. J.Peso has written for or worked with numerous artists including the likes of: DMX, Game, Snoop Dogg and Tha Eastsidaz, Bobby Valentino, Cypress Hill, Pussy Cat Dolls, Yukmouth, Good Charlotte, T-Pain, and many more. His career has placed him on MTV, BET, and performing in front of thousands of fans at concerts and clubs around the nation such as Cypress Hill’s Smoke Out, at The Vault 350, the Key Club, and The Dub Show. His career has put him in magazines such as 944, Outcry, Fresh, The Source, and XXL. Along the way, J.Peso has been working with legendary 14 Grammy Award winning producer and VP of Warner Music David Foster -- J.Peso being the first Hip Hop artist to ever work with him . David has become a mentor throughout J.Peso’s career and when they join forces, it’s like unleashing two monsters! J.Peso has collaborated with other producers such as multi-platinum PKiller, Dame Grease, Swizz Beats, Felli Fel, Dj Khalil, Thayoud, J Classic, Dj Fingaz, Develop, and NU Jersey Devil. J.Peso made his television debut on Fox 11’s Princess of Malibu alongside great friends Brody & Brandon Jenner and Spencer Pratt and is the face of the clothing line Die Famous.

For the past 3 months, J.Peso recorded non-stop until he created the perfect singles “Calm Down,” “A Hundred Miles,” and “Crazy.” His powerful debut album Live Free, Die Famous caught the attention of many; one in particular, CEO/Artist Qwes Kross of 50/50 Konvict Muzik. Through working together, they developed a strong musical chemistry and a great friendship. In 2011, J.Peso signed a deal with 50/50 Konvict Muzik, a subsidiary label of the well-known multi-platinum artist Akon’s Konvict Muzik.

When it comes to being an artist, J.Peso is the total package: he is an articulate and realistic song-writer with relatable lyrics that make you think “he must be talking about me.” His in-the-pocket delivery is commanding yet he has a charismatic presence. He has the energy of a natural born entertainer and whether watching him live or hearing him through speakers, he captivates you with each lyric he recites. The greatly anticipated album Live Free, Die Famous is a mix between rap and rock and is scheduled for a late September 2011 release. J.Peso is carving a new age in music.
