Over the years I played songs without knowing alot about them and at the time didnt care. After doing some song research for a particular band project I dug more deeply than I thought I ever would into the classic blues. It inspired me to start writing and recording many songs ( which can be found at soundclick artist page 'daveski'). This site is all about the songs of those artists that inspired me the most and influenced me to write the songs I did. Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, Robert Johnson, Jimmy Reed, BB King, Jr. Parker, Eddie Boyd, T-Bone Walker, Willie McTell, Koko Taylor, Sonny Boy Williamson.........

I have been playing guitar and bass for about 55 years. Always heavily influenced by the blues. I created these backing tracks for these classic songs and decided to record the final live version of the them to give you an example of what I sound like.
Your musical influences
All of the classic blues players inspire me. I keep discovering new artists and I am constantly adding songs to my repertoire.
What equipment do you use?
I play guitars, slide and bass and do the vocals. Using homemade guitars from kits. Songs recorded on a mini recorder with no mods. Experimented with placement in the room to get the best balance, etc.
