The band started when Alphard Moro decided to play for a gathering in the neighborhood. He formed a band consisting of his brothers Floben Dale and Ted Moro. Alphard was still in his college years back then, Floben was in his
junior year as a high school student, Ted was
still in grade school. From there, the band continuously practiced playing, hence ground
alpha was born. At first the band has three members. The three of them experimented with
their music, trying every riff, covering songs
and playing their hearts out. Alphard made
compositions for the band. Each of the members
contribute to the song by playing the music the way they interpret it.
The band has played in the following bars: Risiris, Phenomena, Club SEX ,Millennia, Freedom bar, and hard rock café makati. They also participated in several band activities like battle of the bands and concerts in the subdivisions. As time passed by, the band became less active due to conflict in schedules. Each of the three Moro’s had their own band with different influences. Alphard’s band’s influences were Metalica and Foo Fighters. His band played mostly compositions of Nu rock genre. Floben’s influences were Cake, Rage Against the Machines and POT. His band played compositions of funk genre and cover songs from funk bands. Ted’s influence is Slayer and Dimmu Burger. His band played cover songs from death metal bands. Alphard met Jo from another band called Goldfish Unlimited, a Rap Metal Band. Jo was a Vocalist back then. Jo’s band played compositions and covers from Rage Against the Machine.
The Moro’s found their sound a little thin, they’ve decided to get another guitar player. That’s the time Jo Francisco came to the band. Now all the band members graduated their high schools and somehow find some time to practice for their gigs. So the band became active again, this time from different genre of music meeting in one vibration. The band usually go to Alberto’s to have their jamming sessions.
