After two gargle blasters, things are pretty much the same as they were before..... when they were a tangerine..... only now they're peeled..... from the inside out. That's all!

One pan gallactic gargle blaster later and I'm ready to tune things in..... Hiya Soot! Well, I made it. Damn!!! There's some tasty bass in Paradise!!! An observation on so many levels!!! Absolutely stellar work on Paradise Park..... prog-funk at its finest!!! It grabs hold and doesn't let go till the end..... makes you want to do it all over again! Nicely done, brother!

Hey Soot!
Thanks for stopping by the Acrylic Prism Music Archive. I'm really enjoying going over all of my old stuff. It's a blast. Also, just listened to, "Paradise Park". Love the bass on this one! It keeps the whole thing running smoothly. Superb!!

Paradise Park: YES! Damn, Sooty, love that bass riffage.... yes, it's running the show. The guitar is crankin', and I like how you handle the leadworks on this piece. I like how the song unfolds, surprises throughout, but never straying from the theme, especially the little aside at 3:30 that takes us into the fade.. You are quite a writer, my friend. And I think this must be my Sooty favorite.
Peace,
Jim

Paradise Park..
Oh yeah this is good stuff...
Sounds like you were cranked up :)
Very tastey bass indeed, lead is excellent.
You are one of those hard to define musicians, where you cannot be sure if they were a bassists or a guitarist first, all which goes to show you have all aspects nailed.
On fire :)

Once Upon A Time In The Land Of Dreams: for some reason, this one reminds me a bit of Cream, and I dunno why. It's cooler than Cream. Nice to hear you find that groove and cut loose on the guitar, Sooty! Damned inspiring, powerful leadwork. Wait till Mark C. hears this, he's gonna love it, as I do! Around 2:38 when the bass riff changes, some incredible stuff. Nothing more fun than finding that chord and just letting it ring on the outro...
Totally jazzy and cool, Soot! And it's great to hear new music from you.
Peace,
Jim

Refried Beans are pretty much just what they sound like. Beans that have already been cooked and cooked again. Good for tacos. A man must have tacos. And burritos, too.
A burrito is very important in the healthy diet of a HIllbilly Aardvark.
