I play whatever comes to mind. It's just me, my guitars, my voice. None of it is great, but it's me.
Last Lament Last Lament
Just a vocal track over a single sampled kick drum. Nothing much to it. Another rough draft that I wanted to record while it was fresh in my mind.
Interpretation Interpretation
Not sure what to say about this one. Drum loops, synthesizer loops, a little bit of keys with synth effects, the P-bass with distortion and phazer, and the tele for a bit of guitar. This is just an experiment.
The Sad Man The Sad Man
I was playing around with a basic chord progression - one I've used in a few things. Picked a drum loop from GarageBand, put down the bass line, recorded the acoustic, and then the electric. This has lyrics, but now I'm not sure I want to record
Perfect Perfect
A rhythm and lead acoustic track. I also decided to get brave and record a backing vocal track for myself.
Should Have Should Have
This is just a couple guitar tracks and a vocal track. This is the first non-instrumental that I tried a little solo on. I choked on my chord progression.
What I've got here are some rough ideas of some songs. These are originals, and as you'll hear, they're not perfect. As I have time and the desire I'm going to continue to work on them to try and improve the quality.
At any rate, I hope you can find something here to enjoy. My history is just moving around from place to place, seeing cool stuff and meeting great people. Learning some good things, some bad things, but overall having a good time. My music reflects some of this, I think.Have you performed in front of an audience?Bruce Robison, John Gorka, Dave Alvin, other Americana artists now.
