Dan Sheehan's The Seas Are Rising: Stories of a Climate in Crisis, is a concert experience and forthcoming album emphasizing the immediate urgency of the climate crisis. With songs ranging from melancholy tales of caution to vigorous calls to action, the songs entertain while calling on listeners to do their part to combat climate change through voting and holding politicians accountable, limiting their personal carbon footprints, and inspiring others to advocate and act.
Through songs rooted in rock, folk, soul, funk, and hip-hop, The Seas Are Rising tells the stories of people around the world already dealing with intense, climate-induced consequences. Listeners hear the stories of Puerto Ricans facing deadly and ravaging hurricanes, Pacific Islanders facing loss of their home due to rising sea levels, Australians fleeing destructive brush fires, and eco-heroes in Latin America working under constant threat to preserve their natural treasures.
Sheehan and band have performed throughout the US, UK, Ireland and Spain. His previous concept album and live show, Tales from Earth Incorporated, tackled corporate and political greed and earned Sheehan Songwriter of the Year honors at the New Jersey based Elephant Talk Indie Music Awards as well as Best Political Subject Album from the music director awards at radio station WHFR-FM in Detroit, USA. Sheehan has previously won awards from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).
Band/artist history
Dan Sheehan started his rock career as leader of the Boston, MA band BANTER in the late 1990s. Banter performed throughout the Northeastern United States, hitting famous stages from the Middle East in Boston/Cambridge to CBGB in New York and getting airplay from their 2002 album Urban Pastures on commercial and college radio stations in the Northeast. IN 2008, Dan released the "solo" album The Dan Sheehan Conspiracy featuring himself on guitar, vocals, bass and keyboards accompanied by ex-Morrissey drummer Spencer Cobrin. The DSC aired on over 200 radio stations in North America. 2013's follow-up, Are You Conspirienced? featured the touring band Sheehan assembled and brought the DSC to an international audience with shows in the UK and Ireland and airplay in North and South America, Europe, Australia and Africa.
Since 2017 Sheehan has focused mainly on the album and live shows of Tales from Earth Incorporated, but also did a solo tour featuring songs from throughout his career in the UK and Spain in 2019.

Keep up the great work.
Kevin -- the Kinks tribute will come out in late 2005. There are still slots. We are looking for cover versions in the rock vein that are original adaptations but not so original that the arrangements ruin the feel of the song if you know what I mean.
WILLIAM - I recommend Citrishine shampoo and conditioner, followed by their leave-in conditioner. No cruelty to animals. Hairspray? never used the stuff. NO ASK ME SOMETHING ABOUT MUSIC DAMMIT!!!
Dan, baby!
What brand of hairspray do you use? The reason I ask is because your hair is under such such good control and I have a problem with flyaway hair. One even got stuck in the zip of my jeans the other day, you know.
I now have a bruised leftie and walk like a gunfighter.
Any advice will be gratefully received
