Tales from Earth Incorporated is Dan Sheehan's new concept album and live extravaganza about the devastating effects of greed on people around the globe. Inspired by socially conscious albums and songs such as the Whos Quadrophenia, Ohio by Crosby, Stills & Nash, Mercy, Mercy Me by Marvin Gaye, Ball of Confusion by the Temptations, American Idiot by Green Day, and scores of other works by musicians and artists who have used their art to make social commentary on their times, Tales From Earth, Inc. uses rock music, augmented at times by world musicians, strings, and horns to tell the stories of real people around the world who have been devastated by the greed-fueled exploits of corporations, governments, and individuals.
For live performance, TFEI is presented in two formats: full extravaganza rock opera style replete with rock band, strings, horns, and world instruments; and stripped down club style featuring 4-5 piece rock band .
Dan Sheehan started his rock career as leader of the Boston, MA band BANTER in the late 1990s. Banter performed throughout the Northeastern United States, hitting famous stages from the Middle East in Boston/Cambridge to CBGB in New York and getting airplay from their 2002 album Urban Pastures on commercial and college radio stations in the Northeast. IN 2008, Dan released the "solo" album The Dan Sheehan Conspiracy featuring himself on guitar, vocals, bass and keyboards accompanied by ex-Morrissey drummer Spencer Cobrin. The DSC aired on over 200 radio stations in North America. 2013's follow-up, Are You Conspirienced? featured the touring band Sheehan assembled and brought the DSC to an international audience with shows in the UK and Ireland and airplay in North and South America, Europe, Australia and Africa.
Since 2017 Sheehan has focused mainly on the album and live shows of Tales from Earth Incorporated, but also did a solo tour featuring songs from throughout his career in the UK and Spain in 2019.
With my various bands, I have toured around the U.S., U.K., Ireland and Spain. Loads of special memories from playing CBGB in New York to playing the Bedford in London.
