My name is Cory Parkhurst. I hail from Raleigh, North Carolina. I love all sorts of music from Bill Monroe to Black Sabbath. Had a rock band called Masses of Black. We played covers and originals. Shifted back to acoustic music because I like it's rawness, subtleness, and it's soul. Most of the time, what you see is what you get. My music seems to be classified as "dark folk". I also do traditional songs as well as other things.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, I play live. Mainly North Carolina. Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Asheville areas. Mostly stripped down acoustic with other players.
