Twisted Too Twisted Too

From 8/12. Set up a few condensers in the living room and recorded an acoustic drum kit, then overdubbed guitar and bass. One track each. Simple.

A Classic Vacation A Classic Vacation

From 2000. Recorded acoustic drums in my friends basement, using a whole slug of mics, then overdubbed a couple guitar tracks and a bass track. Simple. N-Track studio did the trick, with help from a Layla console.

Progressive Rock

Concubine Concubine

From 8/12. Same as Twisted Too, but with an extra guitar track for desired flavor. This song is not really done, but I had to document my progress. It may never be done. So be it.

Progressive Rock

Uptown Uptown

Used a borrowed Roland V-Kit to record the beat on a 4-track in my living room, then laid down the bass and two guitars over it. Simple. Without David Gaziel, this song would never have existed.

KJ KJ

Wrote the whole thing out using Fruity Loops, then ran that sh** into a 4-track and laid a single guitar over it. A bit of a debacle, but at least I know how the melodies play together now. That's the goal: out of my head, into my stereo. You dig?

Progressive Rock

GGILF GGILF

Just a basic beat from a Zoom stomp box run into a 4-track, with a lone accompanying guitar. It's got potential. At least I think so.

Progressive Rock

A Look Inside A Look Inside

Got a little gone with this one. Recorded the acoustic drums via many mics and tracks, then layered two bass tracks in their, and three (I think) guitar tracks. I really dig the interloping guitar work. Another one with potential.

Progressive Rock

Wrenshall Wrenshall

From 8/12. Just a basic thing. One drum track, one bass, and one guitar, all into a 4-track in my living room. Simple. Let's face it, this song kinda sucks.

Progressive Rock

Tony Cajone Tony Cajone

Got REAL gone here. Multi-track acoustic drums, a bass track, four or five guitar tracks, two synth tracks, a percussion track, and a vocal track. GONE.

Progressive Rock

Some People Are Like Appliances Some People Are Like Appliances

Many mics on the kit, two synth tracks, two guitar tracks, and vocals. I do rather enjoy my piano solo, even if it is kind of sh** . Right-o!

Progressive Rock

Five Four Five Four

I told Fruity Loops to do everything, then pumped it into a 4-track, laid a guitar over it, and called it good enough. Dig that virtual sitar...ugh.

Progressive Rock

The Rat Bastard The Rat Bastard

A total debacle. An embarrassment. And yet, I like it. Played the Roland V-kit into a 4-track, then hit it with a bass and guitar. Then I rapped. Yes, I RAPPED. F*** me.

Progressive Rock

Her Good Graces Her Good Graces

Told Fruity Loops what to do, then laid down a guitar track. I f*** ed up that guitar pretty good at various points, but this was another hasty documentation. The price is paid in sh** . Lots of potential here though. Lots.

Progressive Rock

For you, Jack Soo For you, Jack Soo

Many mics on the kit, in a damp basement. Then a single bass and single guitar. Bass-heavy mix though. Muddy as f*** , but you get the point, and so do I. Potential, yo.

Progressive Rock

Twisted Won Twisted Won

Just a filthy guitar here, and not necessarily filthy good. Had to document the structure of the song. That's the only purpose with this one. Kinda ugly, but the vision is there.

Progressive Rock

Suffice Suffice

Many mics on the kit, this time recorded simultaneously with a bass, played by Graham Payne. Overdubbed the guitar later. I really like this song, though it is in serious need of direction. G's bass solo was completely off-the-cuff. I love it.

Instrumental Rock

Picture for song 'Clone' by artist 'Catherine of the Woods'

Clone Clone

Just a guitar, into a 4-track. I borrowed a Rocktron Taboo Twin from my buddy Paul, and found a preset called "Clone". This riff came out of thin air. I should give the amp writing credit. Again, more potential! And pure crap to boot!

Progressive Rock

Picture for song 'Her Mirror Lies' by artist 'Catherine of the Woods'

Her Mirror Lies Her Mirror Lies

Just a guitar and bass. Can't even remember how I recorded this. 4-track? I really dig the feel of this music though. This needs a full band BIG TIME.

Progressive Rock

Picture for song 'Eldo's pop tune' by artist 'Catherine of the Woods'

Eldo's pop tune Eldo's pop tune

Eldo's Pop Tune. Ha! Graham named it. Many mics on the acoustic kit, then a couple of synths and a bass. Again, I like the feel of this music. One of my better bits, in my opinion. Why G called it pop is beyond me. Maybe the future knows why.

Instrumental Rock

Alaska Alaska

Graham had a big old casio synth with a handful of drum presets on it. Jammed along with one of the beats one day, and came up with this monstrosity. Recorcded a guitar, a bass and more synth. Not bad. Too bass-heavy though. Potential.
