This Poetic Musician born and raised in Phoenix has been sighted as completely original. With a haunting, melodic vocal style and seductive lyrics, she can take her guitar and rock you gently into her dreamworld of high-powered imagery. Bowie, Bjork, Velvet Underground, Orbison, Pixies and Portishead are her influences to name a few.Band/artist history
At the beginning of the new millennia, working alongside a man named Doug Gibson, I developed a taste for playing Classical-style guitar with cello accompaniment (courtesy of his good friend, Joel). Following this, my attention shifted to electric guitar as I had recently acquired a Charvel from co-music-conspirator and bass player, Jim McKay. I went on to play in Minnesota for a stint with full-time cello backup via Jonas Dubin (as recorded by our buddy, Hazzy, with Playground Productions). Soon after, I began to play and record with another Phoenix-based artist whose forte was Electronica and Classical piano (i.e. Manicrepercussions). Further expanding my experience in the studio, I joined guitarist, Jason Messer, for an artistic collaboration (by way of Twangman Productions), and learned several “covers” while performing out with him. Currently, I have been playing with and recording in the studio of Scott Worstell, who plays a Flamenco-style, thin-body guitar in almost every genre (Scionblue Productions).Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes! Phoenix venues include The Paisley Violin, Last Exit, The Paper Heart, Yucca Tap, Xtreme Bean, Mama Java's and 3 Roots. Minnesota venues inclued The Tavern on Germain and The Red Carpet. I also did Spoken Word at the Seventh Street Entry once, and it was golden! (I love that stage).
