Not to Cry Not to Cry
So often we learn not to express our emotions when growing up; then all of a sudden we're adults and we get into relationships and we have to learn to feel again. Well, that's basically what this song is about. Written in 1991 when I was 23.

Gone Gone
I wanted to write a riff-based rock song, so I did (and the dogs in the neighborhood still won't stop howling). This is about as close to metal as I've gotten. The weird guitar sound is a Digitech whammy pedal (used frequently by Jack White).

Sooner or Later Sooner or Later

Caitlin Caitlin
I read a news story about the senseless murder of a 16 year old girl by her mother's boyfriend. I was moved to write this song.

Jack Jack
If Neil Young's song 'Borrowed Tune' got together with Jack White at an acid party, this is the song that would be the result of their union

Moving isn't always easy... especially when you move to a different state and start a new job the day before 9-11. Thanks to JL for playing all the instruments (except acoustic rhythm guitar).

Dedicated to Ron Koss (my second cousin) from Detroit's own (original) Savage Grace (circa 1969-1971).
