Just a bit of fun covering this popular ditty. An opportunity to explore some of my softsynths and try out a few programming ideas. Actually... a hard one to reproduce. So much layered sound in the original. And of course, Harry is quite the star.
Had a whole lot of fun attempting a cover (ish) version of one of 2020/2021's most successful pop songs. Oh yes. I sound just like her. lol. Enjoy!
Third person perspective of a Wet Leg track. Catchy as heck guitar based Pop/Punk with some killer riffs. Of course this version lacks Rhian... but hey... its a great song.
Having grown up on Merseyside and traveled on that ferry across the river many, many times I couldn't resist trying me own version! The original (particularly in the movie) is way, way better ... but it's a song dear to my heart.
Lemmy. The ultimate rocker. Sad he is no longer with us. As a thanks for the music... an enjoyable (to play!) take on a classic Motorhead track.
Man did I love this band growing up. Saw them so many times. This version features my 2 vintage Hofners, Zelda and Frank. Memories rock!
Cover Version of the T Rex song that was Number 1 in the U.K charts on my 14th birthday
The only band to make it HUGE from out of the Wirral music scene I grew up being a part of. I'm proud of the fact that some of the musicians I grew up with made a living out of their craft and influenced many others.
James Brown. The Soul man. For sure this version is nowhere near his powerful vibe. But it's the best I can do to remember the positivity and energy that flowed from him. If you really want to experience, try singing it!
This song, made famous By Elvis and written by Otis Blackwell, was No.1 in the U.K the day I was born. That alone justifies having a go at recording a version. No... I can't sing like Mr Presley. He is the King after all!
From an ancient cassette recording I made for my lovely wife when I had to go away for a week one summer. We'd watch Rod Stewart sing it on the telly! Not a patch on Van's version... but how could it be? There's only one Van. lol.
Cover of OMD classic, featuring vinntage 80's instruments; Yamaha RX11, Roland D110, Korg M3r and Alesis QS7.
