The Cosmonauts
Most of our songs are really slow and have intricate guitar and piano solos. Think - driving in your car on a stormy night - sounds like The Cosmonauts.

We don't really play this song anymore, cause I could never figure out how to sing something cool with it. But its a cool instrumental, so its going on here.

Dear Reader,
We like playing music. If you like it, that's cool. Let us play your show. If you don't like it, that's not cool.

The CosmonautsBand/artist history
We started up in January 2004 when Nik, Marianne and Jacek decided to make a band after jamming together one night. Brian played bass at our first official practice, but he didn't seem to like our type of music much. So then David came along on cello. Followed by Katie on stand up bass. We played Art Fest without David and with Matt on drums. He didn't really mesh well with the band so we continued our search for a drummer. David ended up being too busy to be in the Cosmonauts, but we still like him. Then we found Kevin. Kevin isn't a drummer but he's awesome at drums so we decided to keep him. So now the Cosmonauts are Marianne, Nik, Jacek, Katie and Kevin, and they lived happily ever after.Have you performed in front of an audience? We've played at Central's Art Fest, the YMCA, Halloween Blaze and basement shows.
Your musical influences
We're all into the same kind of music. We've tried covers of Radiohead, The Mars Volta, Modest Mouse and Interpol. Some of my biggest influences are the Gloria Record, Pavement, Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie, and other stuff along those lines.
