Peak in sub-genre #22
UPDATE: 4/23/2007 As is often the case with any great artist, Mike Jak Balla needed time to rest. He has risen. It is good. Exciting news! The songs for the new CD are pretty much done. The Balla will re-record and tweak them slightly, send them to our production company to be mixed and re-mastered, and we will be pressed and set for release as scheduled on June 6, 2006. In other news... I have gotten fat. I don't know when it happened exactly, but The Mike has become somewhat of a lard ass over the last few months. I don't really see myself doing a whole lot about that...time will tell. More news! I am recruiting studio musicians who are interested in being a part of the June release. I am especially looking for pedal steel, mandolin, background vocalists, and drums. If you come here, you are required to sign the message board. I'm not kidding. If you don't sign it, I swear to Christ I will put a fucking voodoo curse on you. Next... Sign up for the mailing list. Nobody has ever done that. Sign up. It's FREE you bunch of cheap asses! Now, about the band... There are five of us. That makes us, in musical terms, what is known as a "trio". We have been described as a cross between The Rolling Stones, The Grateful Dead, and Steve Earle. We have also been described as being "vulgar and without talent". Each member of the band has his or her own unique and special web page which you can view by clicking the appropriate link on the right side of this page. Here you can learn a little more about the individual likes and dislikes of this very talented and special group of musical superstars. I know what you are thinking. I'm not worthy of corresponding with rock stars! Well, we are people just like you are. We put our leather pants on one leg at a time just like anybody else would. Are we better than you? Certainly. But deep down we are all just people. Thanks for visiting! The Mike MC Solid Bug Spray DJ Booze Dog 2K (Schnubles McDubles)
Band/artist history
If you are here, you probably THINK you know it all by now... Well you don't. There are many secrets out there, secrets that are very mysterious. Secrets that are at once both secretive as well as mysterious. MC Solid is a pimp. I met Bug Spray in jail. DJ Booze works at a liquor store part-time and he also has a full-time job at the pet store. Dog 2K has several names but doesn't work. I am The Mike. That's all you really need to know about me, but I will tell you more... I am at once both the Alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the end. The sun and the moon. The wind and the rain. The cold and the heat. The dry and the wet. The cat and the dog. The head and the toes. The clothed and the naked. The hungry and the fat. I ain't that fat though. I actually have really great abs. The drunk and the sober. I am EVERYTHING, yet at the same time I am NOTHING. I am humble, but I kick a lot of ass, and I know it. Bitches like my smile. I have straight teeth. Real straight. I look good in jeans. Real good. It's been a long time. Long time.
