I Fight Dragons

We fight dragons.
I Fight Dragons is Chicago's finest (and quite possibly only) NES-Rock band. They have very detailed delusions of grandeur, most of which include gross misuses of Nintendo products in combination with music in the Popular Rock genre. This February, they sold out Chicago's Elbo Room as they released their debut EP, "Cool Is Just A Number." They use a talking computer a lot, or possibly a talking computer uses them a lot. All in all, there are 6 of them, and at least one of them is really really cool, but they haven't figured out which one yet. It's Hari.
Yes! We play live all the time, for our live gig schedule you can see our . We're also hoping to start touring more in the later half of 2009 and hit places beyond the Midwest. We have a shit-ton of fun playing live, since we do crazy stuff like hop on Power Pads, use the NES Zapper Gun, have an Atari 2600 on a big 80's TV... it's a blast :D
I'd say we're a bit like Fountains of Wayne vs. Postal Service inside a Nintendo. We've got a ton of influences in rock (Fountains of Wayne, Weezer, etc.) and in chiptune (Nullsleep, Bit Shifter, etc.), and a couple in the middle (Anamanaguchi, Playradioplay!, etc.)
Guitars, Bass, Drums, 2 NES Controllers, 2 NES Advantage Controllers, NES Zapper, NES Power Glove, NES Power Pad, 1 SNES Controller, 1 Guitar Hero 2 Controller, 1 Game Boy running LSDJ, and a MacBook Pro.
