Hi LEK, and please accept my apologies that it took me so long to notice your comment...
I havent released anything new lately, so Ive not been keeping up with SC as much as I should. I do have another in the works, but due to real life demands Im not exactly sure when it will be completed.
Thanks so much for the compliments, I sincerely appreciate them. I definitely put a lot of work into that one, so Im very happy to hear you enjoyed it.
Being a one man band consumes a lot of time, and it seems I always spend more of it mixing and mastering than actually recording. Its a job thats seemingly never-ending, but sooner or later you have to put a fork in it and call it done.

Thanks once again man, it was definitely a labor of love.
I did the strings and other keyboard work on a Yamaha MX49 digital synthesizer, great unit that sounds pretty convincing for all sorts of stuff. Drums are actually my primary, so I'm happy you thought those came out decently as well... Threw a few other percussion instruments in there too.
This is one of three songs I've had hit #1 on various cover song sub-genre charts (Pop in this case), along with "Find Her Finer" (Rock) and "Leavin' On Your Mind" (Country). It's a really great feeling when that happens! ;^)

Have to admit I have not heard this zappa song. I used to listen to him many years ago a lot unfortunately don't remember half the names. Nice work on this though definitely has the zappa feel. Saw Dweezel a few years ago and he was very impressive covering his Dads catalog.

Very nice strings and dedicating a song to your daughter got my attention also I have a few of those. good rendition. Like your drums gives it a live feel to the song. Good work.
Thanks Michael, I sincerely appreciate the complement! "Find Her Finer" wasn't too bad, but "Joe's Garage" was by far the most difficult song I've ever covered. I think I wound up using around 30 tracks, and still don't have everything in there that's on the original! BTW, once again I have to say sorry for the delayed response. Unfortunately, SC doesn't have any comment notification capability.
