Cygnus Studios: Introduction and Welcome
Owner and Operator of Cygnus Studios, Florida, USA. Studio name is a tip of the hat to my all-time favorite band, Rush (and more specifically, their epic song "Cygnus X1"). I write, arrange, perform, record, mix and master various genres of music (both covers and originals) as well as videos. Flying solo as a one-man-band, I play all instruments as well as perform all vocals, along with the occasional guest artist sitting in with me.

Have you performed in front of an audience?
Of course! One memory that immediately comes to mind is, after finishing a nightclub set with "Tush" by ZZ Top. Several people liked my performance so much that they felt the need to buy me shots of Jack Daniel's. Actually, a lot of shots of Jack Daniel's. Good thing it was the last set.

Anything else?
Favorite musical quotes: "Anybody can play. The note is only 20 percent. The attitude of the motherfucker who plays it is 80 percent." - Miles Davis "If you're going to kick authority in the teeth, you might as well use two feet." - Keith Richards "The music is not in the notes, but in the silence between them." - Claude Debussy ...and from my favorite artist to quote, Frank Zappa: "If you end up with a boring miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest, or some guy on television telling you how to do your shit, then you deserve it." "You cant be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer." "Most rock journalism is people who cant write, interviewing people who cant talk, for people who cant read." "If you want to get laid, go to college. If you want an education, go to the library."
