Oldschool techno beats. I've been told it sounds like NES music, which I certainly think is a good thing.
Live In Infamy Live In Infamy
FDR's Pearl Harbor speech kicks off this fast paced track, driven along by a fervent drum beat.
Tagistopheles Tagistopheles
The bass line is abrupt and powerful, showing no mercy or compassion and driving the song forcefully forward. The main passage reeks of power and force wielded without restraint.
Neap and Ebb Neap and Ebb
A pumping and energetic bass line drives the song forward with a main passage reminiscent of lazy summer days on the beach. In counterpoint, the accompanying tune evokes feelings of memories and wistful thoughts.
Swims the Mind Wobbles Swims the Mind Wobbles
The main passage speaks of smoothly functioning technology: rounded edges, soft curves and pale blue-green feelings. In counterpoint, the second passage tells of rough edges, concern worry and uneasiness, reddish-gray feelings.
Tears From the Armored Christ Tears From the Armored Christ
The song carries with it a sort of otherworldly longing; an impetus to push onward that is more emotion than energy. The song seems to echo memories of chances untaken, of loves unmet, promises unfulfilled.
[ 2 6 - 7 6 ] can best be described as simple techno, or perhaps simple electronica. I have always been a fan of very basic techno, such as the simplistic looping tracks of the Mega Man and Metroid video games, and pushed the style in that direction. With the exception of my first piece, the songs were created entirely using 's built in synthesizers and filters. The resulting style is unadorned and reminiscent of earlier video game soundtracks. I've tried hard to give each song a distinctive mood and feel. While I am personally a fan of darker techno, my work tends to be more upbeat and energetic. Each piece has darker passages to it, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel in a manner of speaking.Stumbled across and found a free program to make the sounds I wanted to hear.trance[]control, Aphex Twin, Aneurysm, etc.BuzzTracker / Garageband / various noise generators / YouTube clips of industrial processes / public domain recordings from theAnything
