The song carries with it a sort of otherworldly longing; an impetus to push onward that is more emotion than energy. The song seems to echo memories of chances untaken, of loves unmet, promises unfulfilled.

Oldschool techno beats. I've been told it sounds like NES music, which I certainly think is a good thing.
[ 2 6 - 7 6 ] can best be described as simple techno, or perhaps simple electronica. I have always been a fan of very basic techno, such as the simplistic looping tracks of the Mega Man and Metroid video games, and pushed the style in that direction. With the exception of my first piece, the songs were created entirely using 's built in synthesizers and filters. The resulting style is unadorned and reminiscent of earlier video game soundtracks. I've tried hard to give each song a distinctive mood and feel. While I am personally a fan of darker techno, my work tends to be more upbeat and energetic. Each piece has darker passages to it, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel in a manner of speaking.

Story behind the song
Perhaps the most listenable of all the tracks, Tears From the Armored Christ is also one of the simplest. Only two instruments are used, one square and electronic, the other sinuous and organic. Together they intertwine with a bare-bones percussion track to create astounding depth. The song carries with it a sort of otherworldly longing; an impetus to push onward that is more emotion than energy. The song seems to echo memories of chances untaken, of loves unmet, promises unfulfilled. Regrets held for the myriad futures that could have been, but are now beyond recovery stir just below the surface of consciousness. One phrase outpours regret and longing, while the other solidarity and progress. This aural and sensual dichotomy makes for a piece that echoes in the soul and stays fresh in the mind.
