Tion Pri is a man of mystery, who refuses to give his life in exact detail because he believes personal details are irrelevant when it comes to his gifts. He believes that God and his music is every thing to his existence. He requests that you do not inquire about the insignificant details, but ask him the obvious, which is his passion, talent and genius insight for music.
Tion is the founding/producing guru behind the talented Chris Brown, formerly known as C-Syzle. Chris is the first multi-platinum record selling artist of Tions company Zero Professionals to secure a major recording deal, post music production and artist development and is currently signed to Jive Records. The world has grown to love and respect the Zero Professionals product Chris Brown. Tion Pri was born in Boston, GA. and partly raised in Thomasville, GA., where he was surrounded by racial separation and ignorance. Tion faced some great hardships during that period of his life with poverty and street gangs, but when he eventually moved to the Richmond, VA. area, he was given the opportunity to mature mentally and musically.
When it comes to his love for singing, his mother and beloved grandmother ,who recently passed, mentored Tion through old spiritual hymns. His true talent was borne at the age of 4 as he spent numerous hours listening and singing with his mother and grandmother. Later, Tion was exposed to R&B in addition to soulful gospel songs on the radio and developed a passion for the words that touched the soul of man. As he grew through the 90s and early 21st century, his exposure to the environmental hardships and project life led him into the rap genre. Tion began to lyrically express his struggle for survival and loyalty to his beloved local street gangs. Those years gave him a story to tell and, like many artists before him, he felt the need to communicate with others who shared the same experience of bondage. Tion has a godly loving spirit but his past has created a sincere street quality in his personality and his music.
You will be amazed as you hear Tion sing from his soul and then rhyme like no other artist in the industry. Tion calls it The Good and The Bad, because he embraces both sides of his character to totally express himself. With his taunting grin and laugh, Tion says, Every man has a light and a dark side; singing displays my light side and rapping displays my dark. There are things that I could never say singing, but rapping motivates me to express my complete character and feelings. When both sides intersect, my true artistic work is realized.
