June 13th 2003: my first violin arrived in the mail, so cheap that if I wouldn't manage to learn to play it and have fun with it, it wouldn't be too expensive for wall decoration.
November 25, 2003: found www.fiddleforum.com and signed up.
December that year I got a book with about a thousand Irish fiddle tunes and started to play those. And started recording as part of the learning process.
December the next year I bought a better fiddle, a Chech student violin, no label, made ca. 1950.
September 9th 2005: wrote my first two tunes that day.
March 2006: wrote a few more tunes this week, and started recording them. Just to give an idea of what I have in mind with these tunes. The abc's can be found on www.fiddleforum.com.
Not that often on a stage, I always play when we have people over. I like to play out in our backyard by the fire.
Really special moment: Fiddle Hell in Peine (Germany), that was one of the best weekends of my life.
