Christine "Young Protege" Carter was born August 13th 1989 at home in Reston, VA. Young Protege was born to a single parent Karen Yvette Carter. Young Protege was born and raised in Reston, Virginia. Young Protege is 19 years old and has been rapping and writing for the last 11 years. Young Protege's home life has been rough and trying. Young Protege has lost her biological mother to hiv/aids and grandmother to heart/diabetes complications. Young Protege has lived with her aunt/mother theresa carter for her whole life from birth. Young Protege has 3 sisters and one brother and two nieces Jamia And DeeDee. Young Protege has 2 uncles and 2 aunts and 12 great uncles and 2 great aunts. Young Protege was ahead of a lot of babies walking and talking at 9 months so young protege is advanced although music is her passion she also has a knack for computer technology so she is currently going to nova community college to get her bachelor's degree to become a computer IT. Young Protege is the Great-Grandchild of late great legend singer Betty Carter who was a big name artist who did collaborations with the late-great ray Charles. A very popular song by the two was "Every Time We Say Goodbye". Young Protege started out with music very young with singing in choir with siblings. Rapping with her Uncle Walter Aka Blakk Sauce remixing great songs like "Turn Off the Lights" and "Let's Stay Together". Young Protege listened to oldies but goodies with her grandmother like the O'Jays, Teddy Pendergrass, Al Green, the Stylistics, Earth, Wind and Fire and Many More. Young Protege is currently working on her debut album "Envy For The Green" featuring the singles such as "Tha East Coast Jump-Off" And "Throw, Chairs, And Bows". Young Protege has written and recorded songs from most genres rap, r&b, pop, and hyphy. Young Protege has hit songs from a demo she recorded called Young Protege Presents All Of Me as "I Lean I Rock", "Get'Cha Cake Up" and "Reppin' Tyme". Young Protege is currently working with young producer Leyone from Illinois. Young Protege has performed in her home town and other cities surrounding the area and has a good following so far. Young Protege is ready to put in hard work and make these hit records. With the success of her tracks "I Lean I Rock" And "Reppin' Tyme" Young Protege has come back after a year and brought the world a new club single Tha Eastcoast Jumpoff which is amazing lyrically and beat wise. Young Protege is currently working on two singles that will hit the Radio stations all across the U.S.A. "I'm Too Fresh" Produced By Twinn From BEP and "Put It Up" Produced By Gage Comer Owner Of Dark Mind Productions who is now under So Focused Music Group Young Protege's Label. Right now Young Protege is working with her friend Tyrell "Young R3llo" Waller on a big project/group called So Focused Music Gang and so far there are 3 members Young Protege, Young R3llo and NewTroll all hailing from the Virginia Area.
